Aurora Counseling and Wellness is in-network with various Blue Cross Blue Shield, Carefirst, and Anthem PPO plans. Please ensure to check your coverage with your provider prior to beginning treatment.
Out of Network Cost
Initial Consultation: the first one hour appointment to share your current concerns, get background information and establish treatment goals
Cost of service is $225 per 60-90 minute session
Intake paperwork is required to be completed via the client portal to attend the appointment.
Subsequent Sessions:
$200 for 60 minute session
$175 for 45 minute session
If we are out of network for you: we recommend that you contact your insurance provider directly and ask if you have out-of-network benefits and what the reimbursement rate is. Superbill statements to submit to insurance for reimbursement will gladly be provided upon request.
No Surprises Act and Good Faith Estimate
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
